Frequently Asked Fabric Roman Shade Question:
QUESTION:
A customer calls/emails in stating that they ordered their Fabric Roman Shade with a black out internal or interior valance, but they don't believe the shade was made with it.
EXPLANATION:
1. This issue is seen on unlined or light filtering lined waterfall shades.
2. Check the order details to confirm a black out internal valance was ordered.
- Internal Valances are recommended for waterfall shades with light filtering liner to block out the outline of the shade components from showing on the front of the shade. Internal Valances are 3 3/4" long.
- Back valances are available and made from the liner material to conceal the shade components from the back of the shade. Back valances are 6" standard.
3. The most common issue is that the internal valance has become bunched up between the shade and the components.
PROPOSED RESPONSE:
Thank you for your email, we are so sorry for the trouble. The internal valance may have bunched up during transit or installation, the easiest way to check to see if it is there is to raise the shade half way and get under the stack of fabric to see if it is there. If it is, you may tug on it gently to release it and lay flat. Some dressing may be needed to get it right, but once this is complete there should be no issues moving forward. If the shade is too high or hard to reach, the shade may need to be uninstalled to dress the valance then re install.
