Tension Issues
The Natural Shades cordless system can be raised or lowered to a desired position. This option is great for side-by-side shades. When operated properly, this is an easy way to operate your shades.
Shade is bouncing back
When you lower the shade and it bounces back up, there is too much tension on the shade. Locate the tension screw at the bottom of each control box. The control box is located at the top of the shade where the lift cord attached to the driveshaft. Turn each screw to the right (clockwise) to increase the drag on the lift cord. This will create the effect of adding weight to the shade.
- Adjust the tension of the cordless mechanism mounted on the head rail. Use a small Phillips Head screwdriver to turn the screw on the tensioner [Figure 1].
- Clockwise to ADD tension.
- Counter-Clockwise to RELEASE tension.
- Make these adjustments carefully and incrementally. The spring in the mechanism is delicate, and the screw can only be loosened so much.

If the shade just falls down or if there are any broken cords, place a remake for the shade.
Shade is Lifting Unevenly
As long as the shade is operated properly, slowly and evenly from the center, it should raise evenly. If it is not even, there are a couple of things to try.
Check that the shade is installed levelly. Place a level on the top of the shade to check that it is installed level. IF it is not, you can adjust the wing nuts to level the shade out or you can uninstall the brackets and reinstall them making sure that they are level when installed.
If the shade is installed level, check to make sure that there is nothing behind the shade that the cords may be getting caught on causing the shade to not be level. If there is anything interfering with the operation of the shade, adjust the shade's position or remove the obstacle if possible.
You can also adjust the length of the lift cords to even the shade out. There are dials on the back of the shade where the lift cords anchor to the hem bar. By pulling out the dial and turning it, you can either lengthen or shorten the lift cord to even out the hem bar.

If the shade is installed level and the adjustments do not resolve the issue, place a remake for the shade.
