Gather all Lift Cords into Breakaway Tassel
When the breakaway tassel comes apart, one or more of the lift cords is no longer captured in it. So when customer pulls on cord, not all of the lift cords are being pulled and shade operates crookedly.
There are at least 3 lift cords on this shade, and all of them need to be captured within the breakaway tassel. See Figure 1. Figure 1
Some cords go through a hole in the top of the tassel and they are tied in place; those are all set!
Some cords are meant to go through the wide center slot formed when the two pieces of the breakaway tassel snapped
together.
- If the breakaway tassel comes apart, these are released. They need to be recaptured in the breakaway tassel.
- In Figure 2 these cords are tied together, and snug against the cord lock. These are the ones that need to go back into the tassel.
Figure 2: Open breakaway tassel and loose cords at the cord lock.
Here's what the customer needs to do:
Pull the knot down, and snap it in between the two halves of the breakaway tassel.
Now all cords are secured, and shade will operate properly, and sit levelly.
That's it!
