Top Treatments & Gliders

Glider – This part slots into the track channels and all additional pieces get attached to it. This part is made of PVC plastic, both white and silver. It is permanently installed in the track and cannot be removed unless the end caps are removed.

___________

Aluminum Top Rail

– This attaches to the top of RS and NRS panels. A 7mm plastic strip adhered to the top of the panel slots into the groove on this profile. End caps install at both ends to secure the panel in place. Once assembled, panel and top rail snap onto the PVC glider in the track.

_________

Velcro Top Rail

This top rail is for the top of NS panels and is finished on each end with end caps. This piece snaps onto the glider in the track and the panels can be attached before or after installation with the velcro.

__________

Small brackets – 2-3 channel

Medium brackets – 4-5 channel

Large brackets – 6 channel

Bracket count breakdown- outside mount

Up to 92” – 3 brackets w/ clips

93-128” – 4 brackets w/ clips (1 splice w/ bracket)

____________
Clips

Outside mount – these clips get attached to the wall bracket by a small screw.

Inside mount – these clips are screwed directly into the ceiling/doorframe.

Bracket count breakdown- inside mount

Up to 92” – 3 clips

93-128” – 4 clips (1 splice)

129-164 – 6 clips (1 splice)

165+” – 8 clips (1 splice up to 183”, 2 splices 184+”)

Splices

These are used to connect to section of track together. They snap directly into the top of the track. To remove them, use a small flat head screwdriver to apply pressure to the lip that comes down over the back of the track and pull track downward.

Outside mount – these connectors get attached to the wall bracket by a small screw.

Inside mount – these connectors are screwed directly into the ceiling/doorframe.

Additional Small parts

The eyelet is placed on the control side of the front/lead glider. This part will catch the second glider

when drawing the panels to the open/stack back position.

The set screw can be an issue with this part. We are currently looking for a better option. This part can be easily replaced by the customer with a small allen key that we provide with a parts request.

____________

The drive eye is placed on the control side of the front/lead glider. A small hole is drilled through the plastic during production to attach it. The wand attaches to this part with the wand clip.

This part can be replaced by the customer if the post breaks with wand installation or heavy use.

____________

The runners are attached to the PVC glider so that the glider can roll through the channel of the track. One is placed on each side of the glider and the parts snap together through pre-set holes.

These could be replaced by the customer with a pair of needle nose pliers.

____________

The T-stopper catches the L-stopper to move the panels to the open and closed positions. They are placed on all gliders on the control side except the front/lead glider.

These can be replaced by the customer with a small allen key.

____________

The L-stopper catches the T-stopper to move the panels to the open and closed positions. The are placed on the gliders on the non-control side except for the back panel. The placement of this L-stop creates the 2.5” overlap.

These can be replaced by the customer with a small allen key.

____________

The mid-stopper is placed in the track to stop the panel from moving beyond a certain point. Generally, it is placed in the channel second from the back so it would stop the second panel from moving beyond its desired position. The back glider is left to move freely so that the homeowner can clean the window behind that panel. Split draw would have two of these.

This can be moved/replaced by the customer with a small allen key.

____________

The metal clip is attached to the back glider on the non-control side. It connects with the magnet in the end cap. This is used so that the homeowner can move the back glider freely to wash the window

behind the back panel.

This can be replaced by the customer but likely would never need to be.

____________

The magnet goes into a slot in the track end cap so that  the metal clip can connect with it. See above.

This can be replaced by  the customer but likely would  never need to be.

____________

These end caps are used on the velcro top treatment on natural shade sliding panels. The smaller one goes on the control side while the larger one goes on the non-control side. The smaller one is needed because this end cap will need to allow space for the T-stopper part on the control side of the glider. These are tapped into place with a hammer/mallet.

This part can be replaced by the customer. They don’t go in and out easily so tools may be required for removal/installation. Make sure to find out if they need the control side or non-control side.

____________

These end caps are used on the holddown strips for roller shade and natural roller shade sliding panels. The smaller one goes on the control side while the larger one goes on the non-control side. The smaller one is needed because this end cap will need to allow space for the T-stopper part on the control side of the glider. These are screwed into place with a tiny screw.

This part can be replaced by the customer using a small screwdriver. Make sure to find out if they need to control side or non-control side. Control side is cut during production and should be flat, not slanted.

____________

The wand clip is how the wand clips onto the drive eye. We purchase these separately from the wand and add them during packaging.

These can be replaced by the customer.

____________

The absolute sliding panel system comes standard with a clear acrylic 3 ft wand.

Additional wands may still be available by special request. Coulisse offers a white, metal, 4ft wand, with some on hand. Other options - TBD.

General Notes

  • Any order 94+” will be spliced once up to 188” to avoid oversized shipping fees.
  • Any order width over 188” will be spliced twice to avoid oversized shipping fees.
  • Spliced tracks are wrapped together back-to-back when packaged.
    • “Spliced Track” labels are placed on the exterior box and on the track itself inside the box to help avoid customer confusion.
  • For NRS and RS, panels are generally packed in the same box as the track and HW
  • For NS, panels are boxed separately. All boxes will be labeled with their contents.
  • NRS and RS will have the aluminum top rail attached to the panel and shipped fully assembled, ready for installation to the track. The top rail should not be removed.
