PIC Password Reset/Refresh

A customer calls in saying that their PIC/OSC password is no longer working, and the website won't let them reset it. Follow the steps below to reset the customer's password.

1. Go to 'Sales Orders' then 'Manage Customers'



2. Search the customer either by name or by their customer ID 


3. Right click on the customer's account, and then click 'Refresh OSC Login'. The customer should receive a reset for their password. The temporary password is valid for 24 hours. Let the customer know that they should type this password, not copy and paste, as that doesn't work with PIC.


4. There have been times when this does not work for the customer. If that is the case, tell the customer to try clearing their cookies and cache, and try opening the website in Firefox. PIC works best within the Firefox browser and when cookies/cache are cleared monthly.

Customer: 
For some reason my password is no longer working and the website wont let me reset it. Will you send link to reset password?


Pro Team: 
*Refresh OSC Login* 
I just sent you a reset for your password.  The temporary password is valid for 24 hours. Please be sure to type this password. Do not copy and paste as that doesn't work with PIC. Just let me know if you have any issues logging in.
