Fabric Width vs Shade Width

["Product"]

This is the difference in the “Shade” Width vs the “Fabric” Width. The Shade Width is always LARGER. The fabric is not able to go to the far end of either side of the shade. If it did, the fabric would rub, and as a result this would damage the fabric from rubbing and may cause fraying.

Fabric Wrapped: This style also has a clean sleek look and more residential. The fabric is wrapped around the aluminum bar and finished on the ends with end caps. This style will NOT work with side or sill tracks.

External Hem Bar: This style is made with a squared or rounded aluminum tubing. This may or may not be able to be fabric wrapped. This style is to match the cassette aluminum if it cannot be fabric wrapped. This style will also have matching end caps to finish off the ends.

Railroad / Railroading

["Product"]

Refers to taking the WIDTH (Weft) and ¼ turning to now make in the LENGTH. The width is predetermined by how wide the fabric was woven on the machine. The length (Warp) is indefinite or until the roll of goods runs out.  This allows you to ¼ turn fabric to make a shade if the width of the shade is wider, but the length does NOT surpass the original width of the fabric since that is now the new length.

Remote Motor Control

["Product"]

Motorized window treatments operated by using a radio frequency motor and remote control. The motors need a power source which is typically either a rechargeable battery that is in the motor, an external battery pack that is mounted separate from the shade or the shades can be hardwired. Hardwiring is to be done by a licensed electrician (codes vary from State to State). You can also pair an app and HUB to control the shade. This does run off Wi-Fi in the home or office. The advantage of this option is you can control your shades when you are away from the home.

Reverse Roll

["Product"]

For Roller Shades. The fabric is rolled on the tube to come off the “TOP” of the roller.  This maximizes the space/depth of light gap from a side view, less privacy.  Reverse Roll puts the fabric FARTHER from the glass or wall when it is installed.

This is used to get the shade over obstacles in the window/door. Handles, locks, tile edging, molding etc.

This is NOT available when using a cassette.
