FedEx Call Tags

1. A FedEx Call Tag is issued (return shipping label) when we need to have something picked up and returned to us or when we need to reroute misdirected orders. To create the Call Tag:
2. Go to www.fedex.com. Login with the company credentials:
USERNAME: T445FOB
PASSWORD: Tburg8252!
3. Click on “Shipping” then “Create a Shipment”
4. Click on the on the “Ship” tab then the drop-down option “Create Return Shipment”
5. Complete Section 1-6:
6. SECTION 1: Return Package To:
- If the package(s) is being returned to us for review, repair, or restock, you do not need to change anything here. Go to section 2.
- If this is a reroute of an order that was misdirected, enter the information for where to it needs to be delivered.
7. SECTION 2: Return Package From:
- This is the pick up address. Enter the information for where the package is being picked up.
8. SECTION 3: Package & Shipment Details: Select a “Return Label Type”:
- Email label (Fed Ex e-mails a link to the customer to print the label, put it on the box and either take it to the nearest FedEx location or hand it to the regular FedEx Driver).
- Express Tag (We schedule a day for FedEx to pick up this package. This is for 2- day and Overnight only. Driver arrives with the label. FedEx will only make one attempt to pick up the package.)
- Ground Call Tag (We schedule a day for FedEx to pick up the package. Driver arrives with the label. FedEx will make three attempts to pick up the package.)
- No. of returns: Enter number of boxes FedEx will be picking up. If more than one box, an option appears asking if the packages are identical boxes (same size, weight & value).
- Weight: Enter approx. weight. Use 7 lbs. per shade if unsure.
- Declared Value: Enter approx. value, use $50 if unsure.
- Service type: Use ground in most cases.
- Package type: Use “Your Packaging” and then enter in “Dimensions”: Approx. length, width & height.
- Return Item Description: Enter brief description of what it is (i.e. shade to reroute, shade for review)
- If express or ground call tag, enter: Pick up date, Ready Time of 9 AM, Close Time of 5PM.
- Pick up Instructions: Enter long, thin box for example.
9. SECTION 4: Return Options: (for Email Label Only)
- Label accessible until: Pick a date one or more months ahead
- Return contact phone number: Telephone number where the shade is coming from
- Return shipper e-mail (e-mail that the label link will be sent to)
- Language for email (English)
- Check the box to include FedEx return instructions
10. SECTION 5: Billing Details:
- Your reference: Provide brief description of why this is being issued –
- P.O. Number: Enter who we are charging for the CT – usually the factory that made the shade. Leave everything else in this section blank.
11. SECTION 6: Complete your Shipment:
- Select “Ship” and then on the next screen print tracking confirmation.
12. Email the customer and let them know the tracking number.13. If it is a pick up, let them know to have the box outside before 9am on the day of pick with a not that says “For FedEx Pick Up”. If it’s an email tag, let them know they need to watch for the email from FedEx.
14. Log the Call Tag in the CT log. This is in SP in Daily Files=>Review-Repair-Reroute-Restock (call tags). Enter a new line and complete each cell with the info as to why the CT was issued. If you need help or are unsure what to put, ask your manager.
