ABS Drapery Panel -- Stitching Change 6/8/26

Modified on Thu, 11 Jun at 10:41 AM

With the addition of a new drapery stitching machine, ABS will be implementing a new production process for Grommet and Pinch Pleat (Euro/French) styles only. The updated stitching method has several benefits, listed below:

  1. A cleaner, more polished drapery header.

  2. Virtually eliminates recurring B/O marks that show through the stitching.

  3. Hand-closed corners, finished by hand instead of with visible machine stitching, so the corners look cleaner and more tailored.

  4. The top header fabric is now a single-turn serged header, which is folded once and finished with an overlock stitch. This provides a more refined, tailored appearance, over using a traditional visible top stitch.
