Frequently Asked DSS Question:

QUESTION:

What is the reason behind the name Dual Sheer Shade?

EXPLANATION:

Dual Sheer shades are named this because of how they are constructed. Dual Sheer Shades, Banded Shades, or Zebra Shades are made from 1 single piece of fabric double layered. The fabric is striped with a solid, and sheer piece.

PROPOSED RESPONSE:

Dual sheer shades are constructed with fabrics containing alternating sheer bands, folded over themselves into two layers to form the shade. These two layers lead to the "dual" sheer name. This style of shade is also sometimes referred to as zebra shades, banded shades, 50/50 shades, transition shades or align shades.
