Common Remake Reasons for Absolute Sliding Panels

REMAKE RECOMMENDED- For the following issues, we recommend a remake.

Note: Please make sure to confirm with the customer if they require a full track & panel remake, a TRACK ONLY remake or a PANEL ONLY remake. Remember to ask about the Box Valance and Fabric Valance as well.

• All remakes will be PO’d to be fabricated at UWC.

  • If an order needs to be installed and QC’d on the hoist, this qualifies as a FULL REMAKE. All pieces - panels and track – need to be remade to QC properly. This needs to be sent to PD.

  • Panels falling out of Aluminum Top Rails = Panel Only remake

  • Fabric Defects – creases, fraying, discoloration, liner issues = Panel Only remake

  • System not operating smoothly/ getting caught on splice = Track Only remake

  • Panel Thickness Issues = FULL REMAKE

  • Panels & Top Treatments falling off of gliders = FULL REMAKE

  • Stack back change = FULL REMAKE

Common Troubleshooting Reasons for Absolute Sliding Panels

TROUBLESHOOTING RECOMMENDED- For the following issues, we have parts available to ship and troubleshooting instructions.

  • If a small part such as an L- or T-stopper, Mid-Stop or Wand Eyelet falls out of the glider
during shipping or install, these parts are easily replaced by the customer.

  • Broken or missing end caps (Top Rail end caps or Track end caps)

  • If a customer is having diciculty installing the panel Top Rail to the track.

  • If a customer is having diciculty uninstalling the track from the clips /brackets.
  • Panels have come out of order, or are not catching & collecting properly

General Notes

  • Any order 94+” will be spliced once up to 188” to avoid oversized shipping fees.

  • Any order width over 188” will be spliced twice to avoid oversized shipping fees.

  • Spliced tracks are wrapped together back-to-back when packaged.

    • “Spliced Track” labels are placed on the exterior box and on the track itself inside the box to help avoid customer confusion.

  • For NRS and RS, panels are generally packed in the same box as the track and HW

  • For NS, panels are boxed separately. All boxes will be labeled with their content.
    • NRS and RS will have the aluminum top rail attached to the panel and shipped fully assembled, ready for installation to the track. The top rail should not be removed.

    • NS will have the velcro top rail adhered to the velcro on the panel prior to shipping. The customer can remove the velcro top rail to make any necessary adjustments as needed during installation.
