Absolute Sliding Panel - Replacing the Eyelet - Absolute SP - FAQ

Modified on Thu, 19 Mar at 11:06 AM

Frequently Asked Sliding Panel Question:

QUESTION:

My lead panel is not catching the other panels, when I attempt to stack back, what part do I need, and how do I replace it?

EXPLAINATION:

The sliding panel eyelet is installed on the back side of the lead glider. Its main and only purpose is to stack the panels back by catching on the T stopper located on the second glider.

The wand does not get installed in the eyelet, it gets installed in the drive eye.

The customer will need to replace the eyelet, when the eyelet is broken, or falls out of the glider. If the eyelet is damaged or falls out, the lead panel will not catch the other panels to stack them back.

Please note: this is the most common requested replacement part for Absolute Sliding Panels

Written and video instructions are below.

PROPOSED RESPONSE:

The eyelet can be easily replaced with a replacement part, and does not require a remake.

If for some reason the eyelet cannot be replaced or the glider is damaged during repair, a track only remake can be placed.
