Frequently Asked Drapery Question:

QUESTION:

What is interlining? Why would I add it?

EXPLANATION

Interlining is a thicker, felt like fabric that is added between the face fabric and selected liner. The interlining adds body, helps with noise control, and insulation. Interlining is available as a surcharge in colors: white and ivory.

Interlining cannot be added to sheer fabrics.

The Soft Treatment Roman Shade version of interlining is called Bonded Liner.

PROPOSED RESPONSE:

Interlining is a hidden fabric layer between the face fabric and liner and should be added when a customer wants to add body, insulation, and noise control to their drapery.
