FRS made with Room Darkening Liner too short - FRS ABS - FAQ

QUESTION

The Room Darkening liner on my Fabric Roman shade does not come all the way down. It looks like the shade may not have been made correctly.

EXPLANATION

The Room Darkening liner is stitched inside the front bottom hem of the shade. While the liner is not visible at the very bottom, it is present and fully incorporated into the shade’s construction. Specifically, the RD liner is concealed between layers of fabric in the bottom hem.

An easy way to visualize this is as a “sandwich”: fabric + RD liner + fabric, all enclosed within the bottom hem.

On the back of the shade, there is a pocket designed to hold the larger hem bar, which customers interact with when operating the shade. The liner behind the bottom portion does not contribute to room darkening; it is solely used to support proper operation of the shade.

PROPOSED RESPONSE:

What you’re seeing is actually normal.

The room darkening liner is sewn into the full length of the shade, extending down into the bottom hem.

The back pocket portion you are referring to is for operating the shade and is not considered part of the liner. It does not affect the room darkening aspect of the shade. The shade is made correctly, and is working as intended.
