Dust Covers for Roller Shades
What are they and how do they work?
- A shade valance dust cover is a piece of metal that fits over the top of a valance and is designed to prevent dust from accumulating on the exposed parts of the window treatment.
- For the current Box Valance- typically, the dust covers are only available with the clip on brackets with returns.
- If ordering with a clip-on bracket, dust cover valances can be requested for no additional charge. If ordering after the fact, the factory remakes the box valance with the dust cover.
- For Box Valances ordered prior to 10/21/24, it is not possible to add a dust cover after production.
How do they install dust covers on the box valance?
- Valances may be ordered with a dust cover. The dust cover should have the edges installed under the return channels. The dust cover rests on top of the channel attached to the back of the valance and the brackets.
