Frequently Asked Roller Shade Questions:

A customer calls in and they want to order a roller shade with a round cassette. They want their fabric width to be 37 ½”. They want to know how wide the shade should be. What should you ask them?  

Answer: Ask them what the control type would be and look at the deductions in the PG. We would also need to know mount (inside or outside) and top treatment (in this case it would be round cassette).

Example:

Customer wants the shade fabric 37 1/2" 

Control: Clutch control 

Top Treatment: Small Round Cassette

In the product guide under Specifications - locate the Small Cassette section, Clutch & Chain control 

Last Column = Difference in Shade & Fabric Width. In this scenario the difference is 1 3/8" 

(the difference in shade & fabric width = the control side gap (3/4") + the idle end side gap (5/8"))

Fabric width 37 1/2" + difference 1 3/8" = 38 7/8" ordered width
