Decibel rating tests are performed on the motor only, not of a motor installed in a finished shade. Because there are so many variables that play into the actual sound level of our motors, we do not have this information available.
What variables play into the sound level of the motor?
There are many variables that affect the sound level of the motor, some are very simple but to name a few:
Open roll vs cassette
Motorized Roller Shade in a cassette - the noise of the motor is enhanced by the motor being installed into a metal tube, and then installed in a metal cassette.
Wood floors vs carpet
Level is different when raising vs lowering the shade.
