Fabric Flaw (Knot, Slub) - FAQ - NS

Frequently Asked Natural Shade Questions:

A customer emails in a photo of a fabric flaw asking for a remake.
Answer: While we do understand your customers concerns, please keep in mind that the hand weaving process highlights the beauty of the fine and delicate blends of jute, ramie, bamboo, and other natural products. Because these shades are handcrafted, you'll find that no two builds are exactly the same.

Even though the factory does try to minimize these knots, or slubs, these will be present, and we cannot guarantee the placement. The roll goods are 96" wide, so when the natural material (grass, fiber, reeds) is not long enough to cover 96", the piece is hand knotted to the next piece so that weaving can continue.

Again, we do understand if your customer would like to have the shade remade and would be happy help.  Please share this information with your customer and advise how to proceed.
