Factory Photos for Remake Orders
Can we ask the factory for a photo of a shade that has been remade?
Yes, photos of a remake shade can be requested from the factory, but please note the start dates listed below.
Why would we ever need to request a photo?
Photos may be requested when the remake shade has been delivered to the customer and they are unhappy with the remake shade. Either the customer is experiencing the same issue as the original shade, or the shade has not been made to our standard. Some examples of this are:
- fabric flaw, incorrect dimensions, wrong material or liner, control side, etc.
Why do the factories take photos of remake shades?
The woven wood factories (YX,SLN and SB) take photos of all remake shades, not for our review/approval but to keep on file in case we need to refer back to the for QC/Inspection purposes. The idea behind this process is that if the factory is required to take a photo of every remake shade, they will play closer attention to the remake reason, and learn more about what our customers like, don't like, and what has been made well or not.
- YX will save the photos on file for 3-4 months (start date 9/29/25)
- SLN will save the photos on file for 3-4 months (start date10/1/25)
- SB will save the photos on file for 1 year
