QUESTION:
My black out cordless shades do not operate when the temperature drops, or after being exposed to very cold temperatures.
EXPLANATION:
It has been confirmed that the shades are not operating correctly due to the BO fabric. Testing has shown that LF and Solar fabrics do not experience operational issues in cold temperatures.
The Easy Lift control has also been tested with the BO fabric, and results indicate that the issue occurs specifically with the Cordless Exact Lift control type, and only when paired with the BO fabric.
It is still recommended to try adjusting the tension once the shades arrive, as this may help improve operation. However, remaking the shades as Cordless Easy Lift, or changing the fabric to LF or a Solar option, would be the best long-term resolution.
The factory is currently testing a new process for the BO fabric to prevent it from being affected by cold temperatures in the future.
PROPOSED RESPONSE:
If troubleshooting has been attempted, including adjusting the tension, the next step is to move forward with a remake. The shades can be remade as Cordless Easy Lift if the customer would like to keep the BO fabric, or the fabric can be changed to LF or Solar while keeping the Cordless Exact Lift control. This would be processed as a warranty remake.
