YX Bottom Bar and Hold Down Brackets

What are hold down brackets?
Answer: Hold down brackets are small brackets with a pin that are installed at the bottom of either side of the bottom bar to keep the shade in place. This is most common on doors, so the shade stays secure to the door. 

Are hold down brackets available after production?

Answer: It depends on the make up of the shade. If the shade is cordless with the clear bottom bar end caps, then yes, hold down brackets may be added after production. For all other styles, hold down brackets cannot be added after production. Read below for more details

Woven Wood Shades

• Hold down bracket consists of 4 pieces (2 brackets and 2 pins) 

Cordless Control

• Made with a rectangular PVC bottom bar
• Clear plastic end caps have a predrilled hole drilled for hold down. Hold Down brackets can be added after production.
• Color coordinated end caps do not have pre drilled holes, the factory will drill holes for the hold down during production. Hold Down brackets cannot be added after production.

Clutch, Motorized and Cordless TDBU – hold down brackets not requested on original order

• The bottom of the shade is made with a Fiberglass bottom bar, so there are no end caps. This style of bottom bar is not compatible with hold downs as there is no room for the pin of the hold down bracket to be installed; if attempted it will damage the fabric.
• If the customer wants hold down brackets after production, they will not work, but you can suggest Velcro dots.

Clutch, Motorized and Cordless TDBU – hold down brackets requested on original order

• The bottom of the shade is made with a Fiberglass dowel and there are no end caps, the pin of the hold down bracket is installed in the center of the dowel. 

  
  

  

YX Natural Roller Shades

• The factory uses an aluminum bottom bar for all control types 
• Clear plastic and color coordinated end caps do not have a pre drilled hole. Hold down brackets cannot be added after production.
• YX NRS hold down brackets are plastic with the pin attached
